I am new on SketchUp Pro, first time using it, so I’m not familiar I’m trying to learn with tutorials.
SketchUp isn’t like some CAD programs. You can’t simply select a rectangle and type new dimensions. Either type the dimensions you want when you first draw the rectangle or use Scale or Move to resize it as needed afterward. Note: DO NOT move the cursor to the Measurements window and do not click there. If the window is available for input you just type. And pay attention to the syntax displayed in the window. For example, when dragging out a rectangle, pay attention to the separator between the first and second dimension. Use the same separator when you type in your dimensions.
Don’t ever try to click in the box, start an action, move the cursor in the direction you want, let go of the mouse, type what you want separated by , or ; depending on your location and hit enter.
The rest is up to you, simply saying you are new to it doesn’t make it our responsibility for you to learn.
I think you misread the question. This wasn’t OPs first stop; question says they’ve been watching tutorials. Sometimes the simplest things can be overlooked.
I don’t see any evidence that OP feels entitled to making us responsible for them learning. Very weird way to finish your answer, you start out helpful and then end up slagging them. Take a break from the forums if you feel this is necessary
I have no issue with my comment.
