I am a Technology & Design teacher at the Dalí College in Heemskerk and the author of a number of textbooks on SketchUp at Uitgeverij Vertoog.
The SketchUp for BWI book is written for the SketchUp Pro version.
I want to rewrite the 6 modules from SketchUp to 3D printing (originally with SketchUp Make) for SketchUp for Schools.
Unfortunately, we do not have the SketchUp for School version at our school.
However, the demand from secondary schools to write my modules for 3D printing in the App version is increasing.
Since this version clearly offers some advantages over the SketchUp Web version, I would like to ask you if it is possible to give me the opportunity to create my modules in a SketchUp for School license.
If there are any costs involved, that is of course no problem. My main concern is that the steps associated with the many screenshots have the same layout and options as the students will soon have on their screen.
Hoi Sjaak,
Thanks for the @ tweenulzeven and thanks for the post @S_Bakker. I totally understand what you are asking and will do my best to get you an answer but please keep in mind that most of the team that can answer that question is out for the holidays so it may take me a while to find out one way or another. I’ll let you know as soon as I know anything but it will take a while.
I suppose in the meantime you could start making a prototype in the free web version as that is always available and offers a very similar UI and if all you are looking for are some screenshots I can see if I can take some for you later this week if you let me know what you need.
Anyway, I’ll keep checking in to see if anyone from the team is signed on throughout the week and hopefully will have some good news for you soon.
