i am new to sketchup, i am having trouble drawing a j pull handle into the top of my drawer front, the handle detail is as follows, width x height x thickness, 500mm x 200mm x25mm. the handle is 100mm x 30mm and looking down on its top edge its is 20mm. the design of the profile is s shaped with the first radius being 1.5mm and the 2nd around 9mm, this is not to importainent i just need to fugger out how to make it work, thanks

What version of SketchUp are you really using? Your profile is confusing. SketchUp for Web (Free Only) is very different from 2026 Desktop. The version you are really using will have an impact on the tools you have available and the approach to modeling your pull.
Please correct your forum profile to reflect that. Remove the refereence to the desktop version.
It’s hard to tell exactly what you are showing there. Is this supposed to be showing the edge and back face of the drawer front? Is this supposed to be a router recess? Assuming that’s what it is, you can draw a profile of the “cutter” and a path to use with Follow Me to create a volume you can intersect with the drawer front. Then erase what isn’t drawer front.
Model the volume of space the cutter (router bit) would pass through and intersect it with the drawer front.
BTW, when I made this example I only had to erase the single edge across where the opening is to be. (Shown selected, below.) Then I right clickcked on a white front face and selected Orient Faces from the context menu.
Thanks dave, I have managed to follow your instructions and almost have it perfect. I have added a picture of the what I have managed to do, for some reason i have a small gap at the start and finish, while it looks good and you can only see this when zoomed in I thinking it might be a problem where i try to render it, have you any idea what I might be doing wrong?
Add a little short vertical line at each unde of the path so that the first and last segment of the path is perpendicular to the profile.
It should leave you with something like this when you have Hidden Geometry turned on.
If the first segment of the path isn’t perpendicular to the profile, Follow Me projects the profile to perpendicular to that segment. And the extrusion will end perpendicular to the last segment. in the path.
