How would you create this pattern in Sketchup?

I need to create a carpet like this. Is there any way to do this (or something similar) without having to re-draw every line?

It wouldn’t make snse to draw that pattern. That would bloat your SketchUp model and make it difficult to work with. Use an image as a texture.

I have to send it as CAD to the carpet manufacturer. It gets fed into the CNC loom or something.

Is there a way to do it in CorelCAD?

It would probably make more sense to use a different application to create it.

I don’t know CorelCAD but probably.

Inkscape comes to mind. Or maybe start with Corel Painter and generate a raster image from which vector outlines could be created in Inkscape.

So the images you see here are the raster + the bigger one is the raster I made by copy-pasting random areas. (Don’t know how to make it all 2 colors either).

I tried doing it in CorelDRAW, using the Trace function, but it created a mess.

Thanks, I’ll see what I can do with Inkscape.

It might be that you’ll need to increase the contrast and perhaps do some filtering to make different layers.

if you can get more even lighting you could put a “threshold” effect on it in photoshop or a similar program (I use Affinity - it’s free!) which will make hard black and white pixels out of the image, then use that for an image trace.
