How to use these trees in Sketchup

There are a lot of nice trees on this website. How would you use them to get them to blend in the model.

You can import a transparent PNG image directly, explode it and turn it into a component. Move the component axis to the bottom of the tree trunk and in the component options, check the “always face camera” box. If you want it to cast a more or less realistic shadow, you can draw edges around the tree shape and erase the outside faces. Here’s my very, very old tutorial as a SketchUp file:
