Does anyone know how to turn off the snap to grid in LO2026?
I have hunted for it, and I can’t find it anywhere. In previous releases, I believe it was hidden in the document settings, which was under file, which has since moved to the window.
I’ve always toggled it with the bottom item in the Arrange menu. It’s been there since the very first version of LayOut. There’s also a toolbar button for toggling Grid Snap. The only thing related to the grid in Document Setup is related to grid spacing, grid line color/appearance, and whether the grid is included in output.
Right click on the paper. You can turn on or off snap to grid and to object.
Never did the other ways…
I keep a floating menu that has commonly used things like dimensions and labels, it also has icons to toggle grid snap and object snap. I use it alot. I think the default shortcut key is ctl+shift+O. Of coarse you can change the hot key to what you like. I think Layout 2026 still has issues with the custom menu feature.
