I wonder if there’s a way to increase or decrease a component within a face so that the face follows the new size of the component. In this case, I wanted the walls to automatically follow the size of the window.
free? I need a free quick option. I saw someone doing it without plugins one time.
thank you very much Dezmo. That was it i was talking about
Only works on walls that are a single face.
That was exactly the question. Isn’t it?
It would be great if there was a way to do it without just using one face. And that it was native to SketchUp.
How do I configure my component to do this, after I’ve already created them?
I guess - but walls in my world have thickness, so when I read walls + windows I thought of FlexTools.
“Cut opening” IS a native feature of SketchUp..
But only for 1 surface…
Ofcourse, I’m not denying that.
Allthough I believe that there is a workaround with nested components..
Don’t forget you might need to adjust the component axis, depending on how the original component was made.
