Hello and happy 3d design to all.
As you can see from the first image, I need to round the corners on the curved profile like I did on the straight profile.
I tried the Fredo RoundCorner extension but I got a mess as you can see from the second image. I understand the cause of the Fredo errors, the edge is aligned and normal to the first segment of the curve.
Could someone help me understand how to do it correctly?
I’m using SketchUp Make 2017.
Thanks in advance.
I suspect your object is too small and SU is runing into problems with very short edges.
Two suggestions:
- try scaling up by a factor of 100 or 1000 and/or use the Dave method (search this forum for it)
- Upload your model so we can have a look at it.
With TrueBend extension

If you use Truebend as @mihai.s demonstrated you must model in the red axis as that’s the only one Truebend works the way you need. I fell foul of this restriction on its’ use at first but have now got used to it.
You can set the X (red) axis inside the group, if you created it along the Y axis.
