Have you been to THE LEARNING CENTER yet? It’s a great place to start. I suspect you want to round the edges of the large object. Soften and smooth would do that. If not please upload the .SKP file with a better explanation of what you are looking for.

Thanks all. I understand how to make the above shape, but that you. What I’m looking for is once I have the cylinder can I then round the side walls so it has like a doughnut shape.

With my rounded shape i was playing around with, when I went to add hole through it I believe the geometry intersections were not good. I scaled it up 100x turned on Hidden Geometry. Too small. Try scaling the model up by a factor of 100 or 1000. Or better, use The Dave Method .
