I am making project where I visualize dimensions via dimension tool.
It works fine as lower level component dimensions are not shown when I use them in higher level design, but for few components it stopped to work and when I place them - dimensions appear on higher level design. How do I fix this?
What does this mean? Perhaps you could share the SKP file?
If you want to control when dimensions show, put them on a layer separate from the components and adjust the visibility as needed in the Layers window.
Dimensions and annotation text are among the few exceptions to keeping all non-group/component geometry associated with layer0. The reason is that they are not part of the structural geometry of the object. So, it can be annoying if they aren’t visible when you expected them, but it doesn’t cause the really confusing effects that happen when related bits of geometry have different layers.
