How to fix corrupt Sketchup File?

If you haven’t got the backup file and the.skp file is as bad as Colin found it to be, the most logical thing would be to get started making the model again. Make sure you are saving it to your local drive and also publish it to your Trimble Connect storage asa backup.

Okey, thankyou for the suggest

Good luck.

I use this utility on Windows:

It is fantastic. Search for .skp or .skb, and immediately you have a list of SketchUp files and backups from everywhere on your computer. It can be a fast way to find models that you or the OS had put into unexpected places.

We don’t yet know how the model gets into the state it does. All you can really do is keep frequent backups, and if you see the problem again, try to remember what you had changed recently in the model.

The SKP is scrambled in some way. The SKB works ok. I opened that and saved it as a 2020 file. Here’s that file:

If you see that opening the file and doing certain things, leads to the file being scrambled, let me know what changes you had made.

Hello Sir can u help me how to fix my broken sketchup file…

Post the file or a link to it so others can take a look at it.

Your profile indicates you are using the free version of SketchUp which is web based and would mean you should have some previous versions in your Trimble Connect storage. Have you looked there?
