How to draw section callout markers in Layout?

I am a long time user of Sketch.Up and have been recently starting to look at using section planes. I am also starting to experiment with using Layout as my output tool. I notice that the welcome screen of the Layout tool shows a drawing with section callout markers on it but I can not find any built in functionality for drawing section markers in either SketchUp or Layout. Am I missing something?

Ok - that is a great start! But how do I change the text in these markers? I see that I can change the font by changing the text style but how do I change the content?

By double-clicking, as in any text editing
