Hi, when I click on the offset tool and move it, a small red stopsign (circle plus diagonal line through it) appears and I cannot do anything with the offset tool.
How come? And how to resolve this?
Maybe the item(s) you want to offset are inside a group/component. If you click inside the group it should work?

The ‘Offset’ tool works on a series of preselected coplanar connected edges.
Or if nothing is preselected (like in your case) it works with single faces when hovering over them.
If you hover over a face in another drawing context (like a face inside a group or component) the tool tells you with that “stopsign” that the face is in another context.
Like @whiterabbitdesigncompany points out, open the group or component to reach that face.
