How to change the units?

Hi, there
Tell me, please, how can I change the units in an existing project from feet to mm?

at the top of the screen, open the ‘Model Info’
image

Adjust the ‘Units’
image

See the magic happen

@Struller With SketchUp for iPad, there are a couple of things you may want to consider for modifying the units for a project you’re working on.

  1. If you know that you are going to prefer working in MM for most or all of the new projects that you create on iPad, you’ll probably want to change the unit preferences for the default Create New template. To do this, you can tap the little down arrow to the right of the Create New button on the Home Screen and choose Millimeters.

  2. If you are working in a model that already has the units set to feet & inches (or any other units), you can switch to millimeters (or any other units), by popping open the Model Info panel and choosing Millimeters from the Format dropdown.

I hope this helps.

Hello, I love this Sketchup feature. But what happened to the conversion: 68 inches = 1727cm , not 1780.

I guess you are seeing something like this:
~ 68,0"
So, starting with tidle, which means “approximately”.
Change the Length unit precision in model info, to more precise. ( e.g 1/64")

Edit
I see, there is two wrong information posted above mine
Because, if you draw a line of 1727mm length that will show ~ 68" in a “worst” precision.
1727mm >>>> ~ 68"

68" ?

careful, it’s 5,8’ not 5’8" 5,8’ is about 69,6"

5,8’ is about 1,77m, so considering the 5,8 may be approximated, the conversion to 1, 78m is fine.
5"8’ would indeed be 68’ or 1,73m

That’s the downside of the imperial system, and/or using lower precision (0,0 or 0,000000).
To be more acurate, the exact imperial length was 5,839895’ which makes 1780mm

imperial items: 1,946632 yd = 5,839895 ft = 70,078740 inch
metric system: 1780000 um = 1780mm = 178 cm = 17,8 dm = 1,78 m = 0,00178 km
