How optimizing my experience of sketch'up with a low power computer

Hello, I wonder if I can use the cloud to perform my experience of sketch’up. I can’t buy a very expensive computer so I am looking some cloud solution to perform my experience. Do you have any advice? I am currently using sketch’up pro
Thank you for your help

With the SketchUp Pro license you can use SketchUp Go which is web based. You can try that.

What sort of models are you creating? The best thing you can do is keep your models lightweight and clean. Use low-poly components, avoid high resolution texture images, and purge unused stuff from your models frequently.

Please correct your forum profile. SketchUp Pro is not SketchUp for Schools. SketchUp for Schools is a web based version aimed at primary education.

What @DaveR said.

One thing, though… recently I was modeling and rendering a pretty demanding project on a low spec laptop. It’s a 1.8GHz Celeron Mobile, with 4GB RAM, Intel HD 610 integrated graphics with shared memory, and a HDD (not an SSD).

This machine sometimes chugged a little when manipulating models at/above 50MB, and the rendering times in V-Ray were kind of hilarious. (A friend uses Houdini on an incredible animation studio work station, and he can do in a couple seconds what takes me all night!)

But the point is you can actually do a lot with very little, and especially if you practice good housekeeping as DaveR said.
