How do i save my models for reuse

I need to save a model (cabinet) so it can be used in another model (house).

Plug-in a writable storage device (if you have not yet), then File → Save As…

thanks I saved the cabinet as a component; how do I load it into a model (different file not the one where it was saved as a component)?

You could use File>Import.
