Hi all, looking for the best way to make the X’s as seen in the photo I feel like I’m getting close but sure there is a easier workflow to follow.
Thanks
I found one or two earlier threads on this subject. Here’s one:
Hi all,
I’m somewhat new to sketchup, I’m trying to design a wooden gate, similar to a barn door with a 45º angled ‘brace’ across the front and back. I understand this is very simple, if you’re working with a square object, which mine is not. To make up for the non-square shape I attempted to measure the angle with the protractor from the bottom inner-edge to the top inner guide (measured to the width of my stock) so it would be edge to edge, but it still didn’t line up. I know the angle can’t …
One of the ways discussed in another shorter thread is to draw a rotated rectangle corner to corner, pushpull it twice to total width, then draw lines on the meeting edges and pushpull across the corners to trim them to fit.
Thanks, this looks helpful!

You might have a look at this recent thread. I showed two methods.
I can think of several ways to do what you ask. One would be to use the Arc tool (not 2 Point Arc) to create a guide for rotating the piece. Another is to use Rotation (Free) in FredoScale to do it. It was designed with a feature for that.
Here’s the method using the Arc tool.

And with Rotate (Free)
