How do I change the scale of my model for 3D printing?

I’m working on a full size model for a wood working project, and when I complete the assembly I would like to 3-D print it at 1:24 scale. Is there a way to change the scale of my model in sketchup before creating the .stl file? VidMate

I would work with a copy of your original model. It might perhaps be easiest to scale your model up 2x, chenge your modeling unit to Feet, export, and tell your slicer application to interpret the units in the STL file as Inches.
