Is there a way to hide floating toolbars as a default for my plugins? I have to close 5 of them every time i open sketchup and it would be nice if I could just open up sketchup with a clean blank slate!

It’s up to each extension author to write the code that controls their toolbar. Extensions should remember their toolbar state (on or off and location) when closing SketchUp and open in the same state. However, many of them don’t. You would have to contact the extension author and register this as a bug with them.
