Help Needed: Convert SketchUp .skp to .fbx with Embedded Materials for Personal LEGO Project

Hi all,

I’m working on a personal, non-commercial hobby project to build a LEGO version of Dens Park stadium using Blender and BrickLink Studio.

I have a .skp file downloaded from 3D Warehouse, but I only have SketchUp Web,
which doesn’t let me export to .fbx or .obj with materials.

Would anyone with SketchUp Pro be willing to kindly help me:
:white_check_mark: Open the .skp file
:white_check_mark: Export it as an .fbx file (with all materials and textures embedded, ready for Blender import)

I’m happy to share the file privately
This is just for my own LEGO hobby — no resale or commercial use involved.

Thank you so much for any help!

Did you know that you can import SKP into Blender (via extension) or any of the other three options - USDZ, GLB, DAE?

now I’m curious. are you trying to have it selected for release!?

I don’t know how hush-hush your project is, but there are some (a lot) of lego aficionados around here who might appreciate a presentation / show of your model in the SketchUp > Gallery

This worked, thank you

It’s just a personal project I’ve wanted to do for a while
