Doing the Les Miserables staging would be a challenge.

If you’re looking for a logistical challenge with restraints, I would say one of the most famous plays specifically for the set is “Noises Off” which would be my suggestion. It’s a play -within-a-play where the first act you see the front of the set (two storeys, seven doors, one massive staircase) and then during intermission the set crew spins the entire set on an axis and they do the entire first act again, only showing the audience what was happening backstage.

or even ‘Breath’ - Aaron would get an evening off!
good thought with Noises Off; I’m about to see a new production of it as a first time its been done in the round, complete with revolve. Should be interesting!

How about ‘Phantom’? The magestic curved staircase, the chandelier, subterranian arches, a descending bridge - animated of course -, and a bunch of candles rising out of the floor! etc. etc.
Something with more than one scenes on a revolving stage?
Seems like almost everyone had their “significant” Godot. This one from the late 70s got completely out of control. Real bricks, black thread “walls,” and a freely bent aluminum wire tree. I did this Sketchup re-creation of the set recently.

actually I only read it in highschool, and had to play part of a scene… my Godot was a classroom
