Groove or ridge maker from selected line/lines extension

To create a cabinet from a block, I will draw the dividing lines onto the block face to define the cabinet doors. I will proceed to duplicate the line to both sides before pushing the center surface to form a gap (grooves). It quickly gets tedious when the cabinet contain many doors.
Hence I will like to request a extension for this process. It is very similar to double line except it need to work on a surface. Operation should be 2 buttons:

Button 1

  1. ui box to select base = Left of Line / Right / use line as center
  2. Faces = Check boxes (create face left, right, front, back, top and base.)
  3. Group = On/off
  4. Gap Thickness = user input
  5. Gap height/depth = user input (positive for protrusion, negative for groove)
  6. Always remember last change value

Button 2 (so that user do not need to select input values every time it need the tool)

  1. Select line/lines and groove or ridge is made

Beside being a excellent and speedy groove/ ridge maker, it can be use to draw walls from single line floor plan trace.

If you draw the doors as separate components and position them as required, the gaps should be created automatically.

You might look at the Double Line extension in the Extension Warehouse.

Thank u for the reply. Yes I have checked it. It so close to what I want except that it does not work for lines on the surface (only work on orphan lines). Wrote a request for tweaks on the author SUnation link.

Work mainly on SU 2024.

Awesome work. Prove my point exactly. It take 7 steps to create doors for cabinets. And most of the time I would not need the top and bottom gap.
