The posts I’ve read and research I’ve done regarding the graphic’s card suggest that it should be fine with Sketchup. I’d appreciate more opinions. Any red flags on the specs I’ve listed above?
It should be OK. Sketchup is a single-threaded application so a 2-core processor is enough. If you are planning to use photorealistic rendering applications, more CPU cores might be useful.
I have as a work notebook a similar but older HP model with a slower processor and AMD graphics (not my own choice) and it has performed OK. My models are small, though.
You should be fine for Sketchup work but you will struggle if you want to render.
I have a 3.1Ghz i7 with 16GB DDR3 and an Intel Iris Graphics 6100 1536 MB, I have never had an issue even running some of my huge space models. However my laptop can’t render for ■■■■ but I guess that can’t really be expected from a Mac.
