Is it possible on Sketch up to inert a hyperlink to a model or component so when a viewer clicks on it it takes them to an external web page??

any hyperlinks inserted into SketchUp will be inert for security reasons…
the end user could add an extension that you supply, giving them the ability to choose to follow those links or not…

you can have one in a dynamic component, however this is only available in the pro version

You can put a link in a 2d text and tell users to manually copy it to the adress bar of their web browser.
