Geometry on the Outer Rim of a Disc

I need to represent a 4" diameter disc 1/2" thick with a semicircular groove around the entire outer rim. The attached file, in X-Ray face style view to show the groove, was my attempt to use the Follow-Me tool to make the drawing. It didn’t work. I have no idea how to get it drawn.

ch appreciate pointers on how to solve this problem.

If you spend some time at The Learning Center, you will learn how to use the tools to get what you want. (interactive tutorials) Also, go to The SketchUp YouTube Channel and pay attention to the Square One series. Both are sponsored by the SketchUp Crew and well worth the time spent there.

I don’t see an attached file but this shouldn’t be difficult. Draw a cross section of the disc with the semi-circular notch and use a circle for a Follow Me path.

Thank you, Dave. I was trying to get there but failed.

You seem to have added a model after Dave replied, so I’ll address that for you.
Using xray makes it hard to see that you have a couple of faces missing, draw in that edge to complete the faces, then I used a section plane to see inside, and run follow me.
