Hi a bit of a basic question. If geo-locating a model, will shadows be effected it its not aligned in elevation (Z axis)? The misalignment is only 9m in difference.
I expect there would be some difference in the shadows but not enough to make a noticeable difference. The difference compared to the distance of the sun is neglible. You could check and see for yourself easily enough.

No. The difference is trivial as far as shadows are concerned. Putting the model in the right place is probably still appropriate.
