Hello, I’m having a problem with round corners plugin, it stopped working saying you need to update it. I did download the latest version from Sketchucation and everything. but somehow the problem. I can see no way to update my trial version. When I run the download it simply allows me open Sketchup. This shouldn’t be this complicated.
Did you use the Sketchucation Extension Store tool to download and install the latest version of Round Corner? Did you also install the latest version of LibFredo6? Do you have the latest version of the Sketchucation Extension Store installed? V4.4.1 is the current version.
It really isn’t complicated. The Sketchucation Extension Store tool is required for license management for Fredo6’s extensions like Round Corner. If you use the Sketchucation Extension Store to install the extensions, it’s very simple and when there are updates to extensions it can help you install them.
FWIW, the last update to Round Corner was in March of last year.
If you’ve run out the trial period for the extension you can purchase the license. Go to Tools>Fredo6 Collection>RoundCorner>License.
In the License panel click on Purchase License.
Once you’ve purchased the license and received the license file and click Activate License in the License panel.
Based on what I understand I have the files you are asking about, with the exception maybe LibFredo6. When I try to download that it seems to give me the 4.4.1 file.
I am attaching a word document with some screenshots and some explanations that may or may not mean anything to you,
(Attachment File of screen shots with some notes…docx is missing)
LibFredo6 is required by the majority of Fredo6’s extensions including RoundCorner.
I don’t understand how you’re downloading LibFredo6 and getting “the 4.4.1 file” The current version of LibFredo6 is 15.0a from 31 Dec. 24.
The current version of the Sketchucation Extension Store is 4.4.1.
There’s no attachment. It would be easier if you just drag your screenshots into a reply here.
If it is up to date why do I keep getting this screen when I try to use it. Is it possible that the trial version is still being accessed instead of the paid version?
If i click on the Extension button it downloads a file and when I click on that it launches the Sketchup window which leads me to think that there should be a place in sketchup where I can choose install, but I can not find such a place.
LibFredo6 is not up to date. You need to install the current version of that. Use the Sketchucation Extension Store tool to do that.
As for Round Corner, download the license for it using the green button in the the page showing the licenses. Then use the Manage License button in the Round Corner license panel to add the license.
I got LibFredo6 15.?? installed.
When I click on the Green Button this is what I see. These do not seem to be active files.
When I click on the Orange Button this is what I see. It seems to me to be an active file. I save it in my downloads. Then go to Sketchup Extension Manager and Click on Extension Manager note that Round Corner shows Disabled which is confusing me.
This takes me to Downloads where I see this and choose the most recent one.
I wait for several minutes and then Enable Round corner and try it and this is what I see.
So Then I go back into Sketchup Extension Manager to try the process again. Round Corner shows disabled again so I turn it on to try the process one more time.
Immediately when I click on the file Round Corner changes to disabled.
I wait for several minutes then turn on Round Corner again and try to use it and I get the same Screen telling me the trial version is expired.
I must be missing something.
I missed some screenshots sorry. Bottom line is the green button does not do what you told me it should do. The orange button seems to do that and downloads a file. Which I try to install within Sketchup with no results.
Click the button that says Manage License… then you should get to a dialog with another button that says Activate License, click that and navigate to where the license file is stored, you seem to have at least 8 of the same, select the one for round corner and click Ok, or whatever it needs.
Then use the Manage License button in the Round Corner license panel to add the license. I do not see this in either Sketchucation nor Sketchup. When I search for it nothing shows up.
Wow! I am not sure they could make this any more difficult if they tried. Once again thankyou so much for sticking with me on this journey.
As I told you yesterday, you need the current version of the Sketchucation Extension Store installed. That is made clear on the pages for Fredo6’s extensions. Use the Extension Store to install LibFredo6 and Round Corner along with other extensions from Sketchucation. If you had done that from the start there would be no issues with getting and adding the license. Going forward, use the Extension Store to keep Fredo6’s extensions and others up to date.
I will work on that. The one screen says it will check every 15 days. Hope that is true.
Again I appreciate your help.

You seem to be making life complicated for yourself…
You must have the SketchUcation Toolset installed because you have licensed some extensions.
You couldn’t have done that without it.
Open the Extensions > SketchUcation menu item, and you will see it. There will also be an associated Toolbar.
The first button on that [red] opens ExtensionStore³
Use the magnifying glass button on its dialog’s bottom row and search for SketchUcation [or any other extension you need] - click on the auto-install button to update it.
Restart SketchUp to sync everything…
