Forum functionality change?

Recently, I’ve noticed a change in how the Forum handles the list of new topics. Before now, I would click on the list of new topics and work through the ones I was interested in, reading the replies and responding every now and then. When finished with that topic, I would scroll to the bottom and then select the link ‘X new topics remaining’, and return to the list of new topics, I’d then continue my perusal of those I was interested in and finally select “dismiss all new” when finished.

What is now happening is that about 25% of the time, it works as before, but for the rest, there is no link at the bottom of the topic. To get back to the new topics, I have to go through the menu ‘hamburger’, select topics from the choices, and then select new from the options there.

Although not an issue, it’s frustrating, and I was wondering if this is a glitch!

Same here Guido. It also happens on my phone.
Very annoying…
No idea what caused it though…

Try clicking the SU logo top left.

Any user, in their profile can set which “home page” they want.
I think that “Latest” is the default. I myself prefer “Categories” and have this set.

The SketchUp logo in the top left of the header will go to whichever “home page” the user has set.

Avatar > Profile > Preferences > Interface > Default Home Page

Don’t forget to scroll to the bottom and click the blue “Save Changes” button if any changes have been made.

It’s not the homepage setting that is the problem.
It’s the links at the bottom of the page that says: #new topics and #unread topics that are missing, but not always…
FWIW: Yes, I know that these links are not supposed to be there when there are none. But in this case there are and the links are not…

Did not indicate that it was. I was simply adding to the information on the use of the SketchUp logo link in the forum header, which Box mentioned.
