My SketchUp file suddenly crashed and now shows the error “Unexpected file format” when I try to open it. I also tried the .skb backup and temp files, but none of them work.
This project is urgent and I have a deadline in a few hours. Could you please check if the file can be recovered?

As I told you, you’ll need to update to the current version of SketchUp and then you can open it. Your profile says you are using SketchUP 2023. Unless you are using a cr acked version of SketchUp you can update to the current version at no charge.
Sorry, I’m new to this. So what I should do is update my SketchUp to 2024 and reopen the normal file I saved? Will it work then? (I’m using an English translator; I don’t speak English.)
Update to the current version, SketchUP 2025, not 2024.
