Follow Me along a curve? How?

Need some help here! How would you create these tubes? It requires a Follow Me cylinder along a curved path - plus a repeating variation.
Then there’s a second problem here - the center post with a raised corkscrew.

I wouldn’t use Follow Me for the tubes. I’d use the PathCopy plugin or Profile Builder 4 to place copies of a component along path between the ends.
