Flextools Refresh Status

The refresh status bar in the lower left corner of Sketchup 2022 Pro doesn’t show anymore. The windows or doors will update but it no longer shows the status bar. Anyone experience this or know the answer?

What changed since it worked? Clearly not SketchUp 2022.

Don’t know. I was getting these odd errors in Flex Tools and uninstalled and reinstalled Flex Tools. It wasn’t showing up before that. I don’t know if it’s the exact model just yet. I didn’t install any new addons. I just noticed this a few hours ago so it might have been doing this already. Or as I mentioned in Sketchucation having to get my computer repaired. Ruby console just show “seconds to redraw.”

Maybe try it with a new model?

Did you have to reinstall SketchUp after the repair? If so, did you do so correctly? That is, did you right click on the installer and select Run as administrator?

Did you download and install a current copy of Flextools? Have you tried contacting the author?

Dave,

I reinstalled SU. Just did an SU repair and that didn’t change anything. I sent Yoni an email about this. As usual everything else is working fine.

Same thing with a different model. Could this be because of the end of support for Sketchup 2022 and the changes they made? I’ll have to try this on 2024 but would have to install that.

End of support doesn’t make any changes to SketchUp on your computer so that shouldn’t have anything to do with it.

Trimble said there might be problems if a plugin uses web based interface. Which as far as I know Flex Tools doesn’t use that.

Could it be font related? That is if the status bar is something like a Wingding font. I tried reinstalling two for “all users” and that didn’t work either.

I could see that being a problem if the plugin is using an unsupported browser interface but I wouldn’t expect that for SU2022 yet. And if the Extension isn’t using a web interface then certainly that’s not it anyway.

Why would it be using a Wingding font?

Maybe just be patient and see if Yoni has anything useful for you.

OK, thanks Dave!
