Fill up a curved shape

Hi everyone,

I’m using SketchUp Web and I’m having trouble filling a shape.
The shape is quite irregular and interesting as I want to use it for my market stall, to make it look like its closing.

This is the shape I have trouble filling in, I am not aware if this can even be done without plugins and on the web version.

I have put the layout of how i want it to be, but I just have no idea how to fill out such shape on SketchUp. I tried the “follow me“ tool but its making a complete mess.

I will be happy if you guys can help! Thanks in advance!

Thanks in advance!

I would start with a profile (the vertical face) and a circle centered on the bottom of the profile. Use Follow Me to make an extrusion all the way around. Turn on Hidden Geometry so you can erase what you don’t need.

You could also start with an arc for the Follow Me path but the setup is a little more involved to get it to work correctly.

BTW, I would suggest that you do this modeling around the origin instead of floating randomly in space. It’ll make getting the alignment easier.

Hello! I would like to thank you kindly for your response!
Your advice helped me a lot and it saved me hours of browsing for a solution!
The method you showed me gives you a figure thats filled, and I only needed a shape as an outside(not with depth- i dont know how to express myself), but for some reason while I was doing it, it turned out exactly how I envisioned it to- so thanks a lot, once again!
