Hi everyone.
Me too, i have some problems to install Fredo6 Extensions in Sketchup 2024. What can i do ?
ErrorPlugin

First, update the Sketchucation ExtensionStore. Then use it to update LibFredo6. The current version is 14.5b so you’ve missed a few updates. Also update FredoScale, Joint Push/Pull, RoundCorner, ThruPaint, and Tools on Surface as well as any other extensions you have by Fredo6.

Also update your forum profile here. It says you’re using SketchUp 2023.

Thanks ! It’s good ! And now, i can update my forum profil because i can use SketchUp 2024 !

I got this error this morning, Fredos is all up to date according to the update dialogue from Fredo6.

It had been working previously. everything is up to date so I’m not sure what’s going on. I know not how to read the error codes.

You should go to sketchUcation and post this in the relevant category there. Only fredo6 can look at the code to diagnose what may be wrong. My first guess would be that your libfredo is not up to date, but I could be wrong.

The error message does indicate an issue with LibFredo6. Make sure it is up to date. Latest version is 14.5b. Also make sure you have the latest version of the Sketchucation ExtensionStore installed. Then quit and restart SketchUp to ensure all extensions load correctly.

fredo6 replied and solved the issue for me on the Sketcucation thread some time ago with the following answer:

"Could you open the Ruby console and copy paste the following command, and then type Enter:

UI.openURL F6_SUClock::Project.get_tmpdir

This will open the temp directory, in which you have files with extension .txt and a form like XXX__YYY.txt.
Just erase them. It seems that one of them is corrupted.

Erasing them should not impact your SUClock data.

Then restart Sketchup."

That was all I needed - Libfredo was already up to date as was all the other plugins - its also normally the first place I look for an issue… didn’t seem to be this time.

indeed I did cheers

Hi Everyone, I really am in need of some assistance…

I have used the extension “SketchFab” uploader for nearly two years now and have uploaded 200 models perfectly. All of a sudden, no matter how simple (A white Cube) i make a model, I still cannot manage to get it to upload to SketchFab… I keep being greeted with the error:

  • Undefined method ‘exists?’ for File: Class

Then after an hour of loading on sketchfab I get the: Error 50 which doesnt make sense considering I tried to test uploading just a white box. Please if anyone knows how to fix this error it would be greatly appreciated

The extension needs to be updated for Ruby 3 as used by 2024. That method was renamed to just exist?.

may I assume you recently updated to 24 ?

this is a Ruby issue that came with the newer version, try installing the extension from this thread and see if it helps

also, try uninstalling and reinstalling the sketchfab extension, there could be a more recent version that is not updating ? z
