Thomthom is the King of quad tools!
This plugin does a simple loop selection but I usually create more creative solutions using simple concepts such as the ones in this tool.
Also, if anyone is really interested in quad modeling with SketchUp check out SubD by Thomthom.
This is one extension I cannot see as needed. The native select tool can easily window select a loop. Sometimes it is easier being in Wireframe mode. Sometimes wireframe mode is not needed.
It is easy to add extra edges to the selection set using the CTRL key, and just as easy to subtract unwanted edges using the SHIFT key modifier.
Of course it would also be nice if the native SelectionTool had a ALT+DoubleLMB/ALT+TripleLMB that selected all connected of the same type entity only.
