OPC takes care of the depth of dados and pockets (this is GREAT), but you still need to communicate with the CNC shop, IE: some edges have a round over, and depth of cut is indicated by the individual layers of the DXF.
If this is not being mass produced the round over might be more easily accomplished off the CNC and possibly once the box is assembled.
They can but it is usually for a Carving, or a relief often called 2.5D machining, which takes a different type of tool path strategy, which takes longer.
The round over on your project doesn’t need this strategy. They could use a round over profile bit for the two edges on that piece, but it might be simpler to do as I stated above. Alot depends on the software they use, and the skill/knowledge set of the person using it.
Thanks, it is easy enough to do with a router, but have in the past messed up a bit (slip of the hand sort of thing!) and figured CNC would have been a lot simpler.
