When “Import”, option is ‘as image’.
When click, ‘L’ or, ‘R’ etc. that message appears.
What problem?
Are you referring to selecting an image file to import? You can choose to use it as an image, a texture, or for Match Photo. Make the appropriate decision based on what you want to do with the image.
That message must be coming from an extension. It’s an older one from when tags were called layers. It indicates that you must have a tag active. Make sure the pencil icon on the right side of the Tags panel is set to Untagged. ALL edges and faces should be created and remain untagged.
