Error message "You have exceeded your allowed activations"

Looking for some help here.

I am getting the “exceeds activations” message and can’t seem to get around it. I have tried de-authorizing, logging out and logging back in (rebooting each time) and have even changed my password.

I am the only person using this license and have only one computer. I don’t have it on my iPad or phone (but I’ve shut them down anyway just to see if it helps). No other version of SketchUp is on my computer (I’m using SketchUp Pro 2025).

I’ve gotten this message before but have always been able to fix it using the steps I’ve seen on this forum.

Any suggestions?

Did you look through the related topics at the bottom of this page?

Hello! None of these topics apply to me, unfortunately. I have not downloaded a new version of Sketch lately, I have not bought a new computer. Nothing has changed since the last time I used SketchUp.

Update: I had logged out on the site but not on the app. Apparently you have to log out on both. I’m not getting the error message anymore.
