Hello, I am working on a project that is synchronized with iCloud.
With SketchUp and Layout 2025, it worked without any issues.
I just installed 2026.1.
A pop-up window asked me if I authorized SketchUp and Layout to use SketchUp synchronization whith icloud . I clicked NO.
Now my files won’t save to their current location 
I should have clicked YES. I don’t know how or where to indicate that YES, I want to sync with iCloud.
Can you help me?

You should look for that in the icloud settings. Google tells me it’s possible to select syncing settings per app..
Don’t forget that syncing comes with certain dangers! Lots of people come here to the forum with files that are broken beyond repair because of working on and saving them directly to the cloud.
Opening and saving files should only be done from/to an internal drive.
I’m not sure how icloud syncing is done, but you better make sure you’ve got backups.
Trimble Connect is the perfect place to do that, it’s part of your subscription and is safe to use because it downloads a model to your internal drive before opening it.

Yes, I did look in the iCloud settings. But SketchUp does not appear in the list of applications. And I don’t see how to add the SketchUp and Layout applications.
Now I’ll have to transfer all my SketchUp and Layout files outside of iCloud if I can’t find a solution
Yes, I am aware of the problems some people are having with clouds other than Trimble’s. And it’s because I read that that I clicked NO.
But in fact, I’ve never had any problems with synchronization with iCloud. And I would like to be able to click YES. But how can I do that now?
Ah, you denied SketchUp access to save to your documents
In Mac OS go to System Settings > Privacy & Security > Files & Folders
Then toggle SketchUp and Layout to on.
