Is there such a thing as dynamic symbols in LayOut?
What I mean is, for example, section level symbols that change automatically according to their placement in the section (in relation to the house’s main floor level)
I remember there is such an option in AutoCad with a certain plugin. I’d be more then happy to know if this kind of solution or plugin is in LayOut too.

You can have the section plane shown in the model and it will show up in LO too. However you don’t have much control of how to place it.
If LayOut had a plugin API it would be fairly simple to create a plugin that read the active section cut from the model and placed a custom symbol aligned to it.
As an optimist, I would have said: “When LayOut has a plugin API it will be …”
