Drawing a bent perforated steel sheet

Any idea how to draw this in sketchup??

3-sides- bending

hello,

you can use radial bend among fredoscale plugin on your perforated sheet. I would suggest you scale it up a hundred times first since it’s tiny.

I would use a texture for that.

Got to agree with DaveR on this… The attached image is a 12" x 30" box. The front panel is SU native material “Fencing - Diamond mesh” . Painted the texture and scaled it down.

To make the bending easier on the system I would reduce the perforated sheet to one surface… Then notch out a piece on the corner. (add thickness later)


Use radial bend on the two sides.

Use curviloft to fill in the gap.
Thicken with fredo joint push pull…

Mesh looks too coarse? Also, you only need to do one corner on a piece of sheet and then copy it around to the other corners. I’d of made a better join line, but you get the idea?
