I paid for my annual subscription on August 1 but did not download the upgrade. How do I download it and what is the best place to get instructions for the changeover?

You have only renewed your subscription, that does not imply that there is really an update. In the menu there is an option to search for updates, the process is automatic.

Just download sketchup 2025 from this link.

Right click on the installer, select open, it may tell you that it’s not a verified company or something like that, just give all the permissions, then drag sketchup 2025 to the applications folder and that’s it.

Read these before trying to use sketchup 2025 new features. According to your profile you’re still using MacOS 10, the new graphics engine requires al least macOS 12, your gpu may not be supported as well.

No problem, just remember to update your forum profile, with the information of your new machine, that’s a helpful information for future problem solving.
I went to my forum profile (see attached) and did not see any place that I should add my computer information.
On the preferences there are tags on the upper part from the screenshot you´re showing.
go to profile, put all the correct information and at the end hit the save button.

You could follow this step by step tutorial.
This is how I did mine. I was in 2024 when I learned that 2025 was released. Went to ‘Help’ and then ‘Check for Update’. clicked on ‘Download and Install’ right in 2024. All good!
