My RVT file does not show in the source folder when I use “Import”, and these (Screenshot) are the only file types I see when trying.\
Can SU still import RVT files, or has this feature been removed, (or am I doing something wrong)?
Thanks!
Yes but you need an sketchup studio subscription. The Pro version doesn’t include Revit importer.
Can anyone recommend a good converter for Revit to DWG?
Yes there is a special program called: Revit
I understand that Trimble Connect can import Revit and create a Trimbim file that can be imported into SketchUp. I don’t know if Connect has direct DWG output. @MikeWayzovski seems to know a lot about Connect.
There used to be a beta version for the Windows Desktop of Trimble Connect, it could convert version 2022 Revit files locally. Uploading Revit files to Trimble Connect would not convert the .rvt files locally in a viewable format, this can only be done with the Revit addin for Trimble Connect.
Only the Revit fules that are uploaded that way, can be downloaded as trimbim, and than imported in SketchUp.
There is no dwg export in Trimble Connect…
There is now a “Pro Advanced Workflows” subscription which is cheaper than Studio and includes Revit importer: under the Advanced tab on SketchUp plans and pricing: Compare features & subscribe | SketchUp
