Dimensioning

Can I go back and modify a dimension

Do you mean change a displayed dimension or change the size of something? You can do both. The steps you take depend upon exactly what you are trying to do. Share a model file or at least an image so we can see what you are trying to accomplish.

I want to go back and change the size of an object which will automatically change the displayed dimension.

You can do that. Again, the exact steps you take depend on the geometry of the object. If the dimension is linked to the geometry it will update when the model is updated.

Are you using SketchUp Shop (web-based) or SketchUp Pro (desktop-based)?

Sketchup Pro

OK. So as I indicated, you can modify the size of an object and linked dimensions will change to reflect it.

Fine, but how do I modify the size of the object.

Forgive my ignorance but I have been using Solid Works the last 15 years…the switch is difficult.

It depends on the object and what change you want to make. That’s why I asked you to share the model.

I do not know how to share the model with you

Save the file and then drag it into a reply in this thread.

Saved by the bell…must go to meeting, will get back to you.

Thanks for your help.
