Dimension text box has too much space

Windows 10
SU 2017 PRO (latest)

I’ve used the mac version of layout and didn’t have this problem. On the windows version there is a large space at one end of every dimension text box. There isn’t an extra space in the text box although it looks like there is. Even with justification set to center, it’s just too much space (more than mac version would leave). Why is this? Should there be a setting to adjust this margin?

Judging by the lack of response here I guess there is no solution? I’ll move this to a bug then.
