Pre 2024 I’m pretty positive that if you moved the snap reticule in LayOut the object would move from the point you clicked, now in 2024 the object moves to the point of the reticule under the mouse pointer.
Is there a way to revert to the old way?
No way to change it back. I found it weird at first but now I prefer it to the old way. I often find it difficult to see the reticule when it’s on black or especially blue in the object I’m moving. After placing it now the cursor is easier to see during the move.

Thanks Dave; I’m not going mad, seems a bit weird of Trimble to make such a big change in behaviour without notice or the option to change it.
I prefer the old way, but maybe that’s because Ive been doing it for… how long have we been using LayOut?
Well … 
I believe it was in the release notes when it was released. It was a feature request made by users.
I did prefer the old way until I relealized the benefit of the new way and started using it more.
Not sure for you but I’ve been using LayOut since before the first release.
