Deleting Local Folders in the Components window

Hi – I am just learning about saving components that I’ve edited from the 3D warehouse to a local folder.
I’ve made some mistakes. I’ve ended up populating the lower window in the components tray with a bunch of irrelevant folders. I am working on a PC in Windows 10, using SketchUp Pro 2022.

A couple of questions:

  1. how do I completely get rid of all of the folders that were mistakenly put in the Components window?
  2. where are these folders kept in SketchUp on my computer?

Let me know how I can be more specific if necessary. Thanks in advance! Mel –

It depends on where you’ve put the folders. By default they should end up in User/AppData/Roaming/SketchUp/SketchUp 2022/SketchUp/Components. The AppDate folder is normally hidden. In SketchUp go to Window>Preferences>Files Find Components and click on the Open this folder in Windows Explorer. Then delete whatever you want to get rid of.
