Cutting a Kerf

Thread Cutter #1.skp (253.8 KB)
The first step for using a thread cutter for making a big wood screw is to cut a kerf spiral all the way down the blank. I tried different ways to model it and the kerf would never align. Then I just used native trim and as you see did one full rotation. It is a very messy kerf that would take too long to straighten out but it lines up better than my other attempts. The sequence is rotate the wood screw 15 degrees, move it forward to align with the kerf, use the trim tool, and repeat. Does anyone know a better way with web based Go?

That’s a clean kerf. I’ll give it a try.
