Creating Model From Flat Plan Drawing

Hi,

What is the best way to start creating / building a model from a flat plan drawing.

For example, my friend has given me a drawing of his house and i’d love to give him back a 3D model of his house.

Hi This involves importing the image of the plans and then drawing the wall outline and then pulling the walls up The first video explain the importing and single wall construction. The second video shows the method of using the offset tool to create wall. this is my preferred method while using the rectangle tool as most rooms are square.

Hi. Actually the quickest way is to use a photograph of his house (assuming it’s already built!) and the Photomatch feature.
