So my students are using SketchUp for schools and are all having issues with the program crashing when they try and open the materials tab. I have had them download them and I can open them just fine on a desktop version but even once all un-used materials are purged and problems are fixed they still have the crash window open when they open the materials tab.
Help, this is a big problem and I want my students to continue to work throughout the semester, but this issue is a real hinderance.
I’m having this issue as well. I have a very simple 2D floor plan. Somehow my model is 40 MB in size. When I try to open the Materials tab, the web app crashes. Were you able to solve this?
I have not been able to solve this issue. However, I will say that the desktop version is far more reliable and I have not had any of the same issues as the online version.
This issue is caused by very large textures and we recently made significant improvements. Please let us know if you are still having issues.
