You probably have an extension that is not compatible with SketchUp. Lumion, comes to mind first.

SketchUp 2026.0.429 works perfectly on “new graphics engine”. Updating to 2026.1.256 causes instant crash on Qt6Core.dll when creating or opening any file. Machine: Laptop Avell, NVIDIA RTX 4060 (Driver 596.36), Hybrid GPU setup

I’ve seen this behaviour in a couple occasion, turning back to classic engine was a fix, as well as rolling back one version.
If you see a bugsplat, could you send one in? Then I should be able to tell what SketchUp was trying to do at the time of the crash.
If you have a hybrid GPU you’ll want to make sure the other GPU and the display controller are all up to date also.

SketchUp is trying to use your RTX 4060. The driver you’re using is only three weeks old, but Nvidia did have an update a couple of days ago, it may be worth getting that one.
Seems fixed to me in 26.2.243, no crashes after logging or using new engine.
